FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: polarisation X-ray spectrometer includes a gamma- or X-ray source, a concave target-polariser, a diaphragm with a hole, a sample holder, a detector with a collimator directed towards the sample, and recording equipment, the input of which is connected to the output of the detector. The target is caved-in on the cylinder; the focus of the source lies on that cylinder; the hole in the diaphragm and the detector lie, first, on the edge of the cylinder diametrically opposite the source and, secondly, at diametrically opposite points of a sphere. The sphere is shifted towards the detector from the source and the target, and the sample holder is configured to place the sample on said sphere under secondary radiation, passing through the hole in the diaphragm; there is also a collimator with one or two narrow slits for forming a primary beam in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder.

EFFECT: simple polariser and collimator of the detector, smaller size thereof, reduced contribution of radiation of the collimator of the detector in the radiation spectrum of the sample and enabling analysis of the representative mass of the sample using a detector with limited dimensions.
