FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device for X-ray fluorescence analysis of a substance has a gamma or X-ray radiation source and a detector, placed at diametrically opposite points of a sphere, a polarising target which is concave on the circle of the cross-section of the sphere through the source, a sample holder which enables to place a sample on said sphere, a partition wall with a through-slit for allowing radiation of the target to the sample, a collimator of the detector which is aimed at the sample, as well as a recording apparatus, the input of which is connected to the output of the detector; the device also includes a primary beam collimator with one or two openings which expand in said cross-section of the sphere; the partition wall with the slit is able to allow radiation of the target to the sample through a zone whose axis passes through the detector and the point of said section that is diametrically opposite the source, and the collimator of the detector has one or two openings in form of sectors which expand from said axis by angles that are equal to the aperture of the primary beam.
EFFECT: larger area of the analysed area of a sample and representativeness of analysis.
