FIELD: physics; control.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to road safety systems and specifically to automated traffic monitoring systems. The system includes at least two recorders, each including an information acquisition unit and an information processing and storage unit, connected by a communication channel. One of the recorders is primary and others are secondary. The primary recorder includes, connected in series, a unit for receiving and transmitting information within the system, a decision unit, an evidence base forming unit connected to a unit for transmitting information to external information receivers and the archive of the evidence base. The information acquisition unit includes at least one video camera and means of generating accurate time, which consists of an accurate time signal receiver connected to a constant frequency generating module.

EFFECT: wider range of road traffic violations recorded in automatic mode, high efficiency of processing the obtained information.
