FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in gas turbine engine plant local control systems of various-duty vessels. Additionally, in operation of gas turbine plant relationship between gas temperatures behind and ahead of the high-pressure turbine is calculated to be compared with preset maximum magnitude calculated for every type of the engine in engine acceptance tests. In case difference between calculated and maximum values falls below the first preset value, message "minimum life of gas turbine hot section" is generated and sent to ship control system. In case the difference between maximum and calculated values falls below the second preset value, message "Engine shutdown is a must" is generated to shutdown the turbine and to carry out routine maintenance of gas generator.
EFFECT: higher reliability owing to better control of turbine operating conditions.
