FIELD: personal use articles.

SUBSTANCE: label contains a substrate having a face side and a rear side and a glue layer applied onto the label rear side. The glue side remains non-adherent but may be activated to become adherent. The glue layer contains a polymer composition of segmented polyurethane including crystalline compound ether segments. The composition may be reversibly converted from the non-adherent to the adherent condition. The method for attachment of a adherent label without a detachable overlay includes activation of the label non-adherent glue layer for it to become adherent and the label attachment to an object so that the glue layer contacts the object surface. The invention allows production of a label with a glue layer possessing good thermal stability, remaining adherent after activation during a period of time sufficient for the label application onto n object.

EFFECT: invention allows to use any paper or film material as the label substrate and to apply any available printing method.
