FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: device contains an analysing module that receives the first frequency spectrum (40) related to frequency response to variable frequency signal. The above signal of variable frequency can be applied to the first member of inductive operating component and the above frequency response can be obtained from the second member of inductive operating component. The analysing module compares the first frequency spectrum (40) with the second reference frequency spectrum (42), detects a peak (44) in the received first frequency spectrum (40) which does not appear in the second frequency spectrum (42), analyses a shape of the detected peak and determines a change in insulating property on the basis of analysed shape.

EFFECT: finding capability of insulating property deterioration without dismantling of inductive operating component, information gain about insulating property.
