FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. What is described is an two-layer implant coating of titanium and its alloys. The first layer consists of titanium oxides, mainly TiO2; the second layer consists of gamma-modified aluminium oxide; the total thickness of the two-layer coating makes 40 to 180 mcm in the following proportions, wt %: titanium oxide at TiO2 basis - 10-30; aluminium gamma--70-90. What is described is a method for preparing it, involving the mechanical processing of an implant surface, de-fatting, thermal processing to produce titanium oxides on the implant surfaces, application of the second coating; the de-fatting is carried out in an alkali solution -KOH, NaOH; the thermal processing takes place within the temperature range of 700-800°C to produce the further coating of titanium oxide and aluminium oxide; it is aluminium hydroxide that introduced first in alkali aluminate heated to 60-90°C and further settled in the above solution to room temperature, further washed, dried and thermally processed at temperature 500-600°C to produce a secondary coating of aluminium oxide.

EFFECT: coating exhibits the high adhesion strength.
