SUBSTANCE: invention can be used as pure compound or mixture of compounds. halogenated polysilane with at least one Si-Si bond, whose substituents consist of halogene, with atomic ratio substituent:silicon constituting, at least 1:1, has average molecular weight to 973 g/mol and consists of cycles and chains with high proportion of places of branching. Method of obtaining halogenated polysilane includes interaction of halosilane with silicon at high temperature and pressure, and further cooling and product separation.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain halogenated polysilanes, which are well-soluble in inert solvents and possess high fusibility.
