FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves picking up a signal from the entire surface of a luminescent screen, which is carried out when making the microchannel plate, detecting the signal of each pulse from the output of the microchannel plate, amplifying and transmitting said signal to a multichannel amplitude pulse analyser. The signal are amplitude-analysed and the amplification variation coefficient of the microchannel plate which is proportional to the noise factor is determined.
EFFECT: high measurement accuracy and enabling control of the noise factor of a microchannel plate during manufacture thereof.
