FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer processing hardware, including that to process elastomer for making devulcanisate. Proposed mechanical continuous-action digester is composed of extruder with stud built in screw helical channel. Note here that screw coils have spacings to studs to be fitted thereat. Note also that said studs are composed of ring with self-rotating screw tip driven by processed material flow to be directed thereby to cylinder wall inner surface. Note that material is heated and subjected to extra shear stress owing to increased pressure. Forming head is mounted at cylinder outlet.
EFFECT: stable processing, higher efficiency and quality of mixing.
