SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-fighting and can be used for fire-fighting of class A (solid combustible substances and materials), as well as forest and peat fires. The method of fire-fighting includes the action on the fire seat by fire extinguishing agents. The solutions (mixtures) of chlorosilanes are used as fire extinguishing agents, which are sprayed or poured over the fire seat.

EFFECT: invention enables to improve the efficiency of the method of fire-fighting, reduces the time of extinguishing and also improves the versatility of the method, that is, provides the ability of use of different specialised devices for fire-fighting.
