FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. An implant inserted into the intervertebral space between vertebral bodies below and above the given intervertebral space according to the first version, comprises first and second bone fixing members, an insert, a plate coupled with the insert, and first and second latch springs preventing the backward motion of the first and second bone fixing members. The insert comprises an upper surface for the contact with an upper vertebral body, a lower surface for the contact with a lower vertebral body, a first side surface and a back surface. The plate comprises an upper surface, a lower surface, a first side surface, a second side surface, a front surface and a back surface, as well as first and second bone fixing holes and first and second sockets. The first and second bone fixing holes have the adequate size to enclose the first and second bone fixing members respectively. The first bone fixing hole is inclined so that the first bone fixing member is coupled with the upper vertebral body. The second bone fixing hole is inclined so that the second bone fixing member is coupled with the lower vertebral body. The first socket is connected with the first bone fixing hole. The second socket is connected with the second bone fixing hole The first latch spring is provided in the first socket. The second latch spring is provided in the second socket. The first and second latch springs are movable from the first position into the second position. In the first position, at least sections of the first and second spring latches project into the first and second bone fixing holes respectively once the first and second elements are inserted into the first and second bone fixing holes respectively, the first and second spring latches at least partially cover the first and second bone fixing members respectively preventing the backward motion thereof; the first and second spring latches are displaced by the spring into the first position. The implant according to the second version comprises first and second bone fixing members, an insert, a plate coupled with the insert, and an impeller. The insert is assembled similarly to the first version of the implant. The plate comprises an upper surface, a lower surface, a first side surface, a second side surface, a front surface and a back surface, as well as first and second bone fixing holes having the adequate size and shape to enclose the first and second bone fixing members respectively. The first bone fixing hole is inclined so that the first bone fixing member is coupled with the upper vertebral body. The second bone fixing hole is inclined so that the second bone fixing member is coupled with the lower vertebral body. An impeller longitudinal axis extends from a first end to a second end. The impeller is coupled with the plate between the first and second bone fixing holes. The impeller is rotatable between a first position wherein the impeller has no contact with the first and second bone fixing holes so that the first and second bone fixing members can be inserted into the first and second bone fixing holes respectively, and a second position wherein a first end of the impeller covers at least a portion of the first bone fixing holes at least partially, while second end of the impeller covers at least a portion of the second bone fixing holes at least partially to prevent the backward motion of the first and second bone fixing members after the implantation. In the first position the longitudinal axis of the impeller is directed primarily in parallel with an implant axis so that the fist end of the impeller extends above the upper surface of the plate, while the second end of the impeller extends below the lower surface of the plate so that the impeller is use as a support during the implantation procedure preventing the penetration of the implant too deep and enabling positioning the implant when inserting the first and second bone fixing members.
EFFECT: inventions prevent the screwing out and penetration of the implant too deep into the prepared intervertebral space.
