FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: piston engine gas exchange control device is arranged between engine camshaft cam 5 and intake valve mechanism. Control device 7 comprises housing 8 to accommodate piston 9 displacing therein. Housing 8 and piston 9 make first chamber 13 wherein hydraulic medium is forced to allow a delayed closure of intake valve 3. Cam 5 comprises cam profile 5' with section 5c arranged under main surface 5a of cam profile 5'. Section 5c of cam profile 5' under main circumference 5a can be used for control over pressure drop in first chamber 13. Piston 9 can transmit the force via camshaft 4 towards intake valve opening. First chamber 13 communicates via duct 16 with second chamber 17. Opening of channel 16 in second chamber 17 is selectively controlled by guide 10 arranged in second chamber 17 between cam 5 and piston 9. Guide 10 is displaced by section 5c of cam profile 5' under main circumference 5a to position whereat duct 16 channel to second chamber 17 is open while first chamber pressure is released.
EFFECT: increased air feed at valve opening.
