FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: in compliance with this method, copper matte, air oxygen-enriched slagging material and endothermic material are fed at a time into reaction furnace top segment. Reducing agent is fed pt reaction furnace bottom segment to direct obtained hot coke and liquid slag into electric furnace. Copper concentrate into fed into electric furnace to obtain electric furnace slag and copper matte. Said copper matte is pelletised and re-fed into reaction furnace top segment.
EFFECT: higher direct yield of copper, possibility to process low-grade copper concentrate.
