FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used in composite cutting tools. It comprises tool tip and its clamp, and holder with recess. It is equipped with two-step metal mandrel, tool bit clamp being rigidly fixed at first step surface shaped to right rectangular parallelepiped. Mandrel cylindrical second step is arranged in closed resilient shell of cured material shaped to barrel with communicated hollow walls and bottom with cylindrical union arranged at its outer wall. Note here that barrel ID and its height equal holder diameter and cylindrical section length. Barrel with mandrel is fitted with clearance in cylindrical recess directed in normal to holder front end top surface and provided with through bore in its bottom in diameter larger than that of aforesaid union aligned with recess bottom bore. Compressed air is forced via union into bottom and barrel walls to fill aforesaid clearances to overpressure to make integral system mandrel-barrel with air overpressure-holder. Cutter rigidity can be adjusted by additional compressed air feed into said closed shell or its release therefrom.

EFFECT: better cutting properties, higher hardness.
