FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of construction materials based on silicon carbide and nitride, intended for operation under conditions of high heat load and oxidative medium, and can be used in chemical-metallurgical industry, as well as in aeronautic engineering for manufacturing products and elements of constructions, subjected to impact of aggressive media. In ceramic material based on silicon carbide and nitride, obtained by method of reaction sintering, silicon nitride performs the function of filling agent, and silicon carbide and free silicon perform the function of matrix, material does not have open pores, and free silicon represents inclusions into silicon carbide. To obtain said material press-mass is prepared on the basis of binding agent, powder of silicon nitride as future filling agent and carbon powder, which will perform the function of matrix after thermochemical processing; blank is pressed, thermochemically processed in silicon vapours in vacuum in mode, which includes heating to 1700-1800°C, exposure in said interval of temperatures for 1-2 hours and cooling. Powder of silicon nitride is capsulated before preparation of press-mass or directly in the process of thermochemical processing of blanks in silicon vapour (or before it) by filling pores between particles of silicon nitride and carbon with condensate of silicon vapour or by partial carbidisation of particles of silicon nitride, or by combination of said techniques.
EFFECT: increased oxidative oxidation resistance of material and its resistance to thermal shock in case of high rates of heating.
