FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vibration-based diagnostics to be used under production and/or operation conditions with no reference machines with known errors, that is, at a priori ambiguity of tolerable vibrations. Proposed method consists in measurement of vibration at machine mechanism body meaningful point. Vibration component inherent in mechanism to be diagnosed is spotted. Dimensionless invariant of mechanism vibratory state is defined to control its parameters. Said parameters allow making the decision of mechanism state. Note here that said dimensionless invariant is represented by characteristic function of mechanism vibration. Mechanism vibration parameters or modulus is set in stepwise manner. Current magnitude of said modulus or parameter is defined to control their tendency to decrease to zero at their fixed magnitudes. The range of said current magnitudes allows defining the mechanism state.
EFFECT: higher validity, simplified diagnostics hardware, simple and accurate procedure.
