FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. The device to track condition of components of a metallurgical plant in process of its operation comprises at least one information medium fixed to each component of the metallurgical plant containing information on its condition. The device also contains a central data storage for condition of components, and a central unit of control for a process performed by a metallurgical plant, connected to at least one information medium. Besides, the information medium is connected to recording and accordingly reading units of data on condition of equipment of the metallurgical plant, at the same time there is a possibility to periodically and/or depending on the task variation of the specified data, which contains a signal for recognition of a component or a group of components in the metallurgical plant. The device is equipped with control units for setting deliveries of spare parts or performance of repair works connected with the specified central control unit. At the same time the specified data of condition of the metallurgical plant component contain time of component use and condition of its wear as a history of properties of a component of the metallurgical plant.

EFFECT: increased reliability of tracking and reduced labour inputs in service of a tracking device.
