FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgical vessels for liquid metal and liquid slag. For the second metallurgical vessel, the casting position is determined on the basis of information from the memory device. Second metallurgical vessel is placed at this casting position and this casting position is marked in the memory device as reached. If the metallurgical vessel has a second opening, then it can be monitored using a system of optical sensors with a received wavelength of 300 nm to 1500 nm. By means of data processing unit during identification of liquid slag and/or steel in preset area of this second hole, the alarm signal is generated and/or signal is transmitted to control and regulating system.
EFFECT: invention provides safe discharge of liquid metal from a metallurgical vessel into another metallurgical vessel, without exposing people or parts of the plant in the zone of the casting process.
