FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: mist dispersal device contains an earthed electrically-conductive mesh fixed to the frame and electrically-conductive rods installed above it, corona-forming electrodes connected to a high-voltage source are installed with a gap along the surface of the rods. The electrically-conductive rods are installed in parallel to the corona-forming electrodes with a pitch along the mesh multiple to a pitch of the corona-forming electrodes. The suggested engineering solution allows provision of the guaranteed discharge gap thus forming a stable corona discharge and improving operational efficiency of the mist dispersal device.
EFFECT: design of the device allows usage of highly effective corona-forming electrodes with fixed points of discharge widely used in electric precipitators.
