FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely neurology, reflexotherapy. The method involves the patient's examination by palpation localisation of a tension painful muscle. The localised tension muscle is pressed tightly to a maximum tolerable pain feeling. The muscle is pressed by fingers or with an instrument. An area of the instrument tip makes 0.01 cm2 to 10 cm2. The muscle is pressed for 10 seconds to 10 minutes. The tension muscle is pressed until relaxed which is established by the fact of compression pain disappearance and/or perceived relaxation of muscles accompanied by finger penetration into the body depth. The given body part is palpated once again to localised the other tension muscles having not relaxed yet to be subject to the similar procedure. If observing the persistent muscle tension, wherein pressing by fingers or with the instrument with the specified area of the working end causes no relaxation, leads to repeated pressing on the tension muscle with the instrument of a greater area of the working end.
EFFECT: method reduces the time for relieving the pain syndrome ensured by a release of the muscle tension.
