SUBSTANCE: method for correcting muscle-tonic tension in the muscles of the maxillofacial area. The method involves a preliminary examination of patients with a mandatory electromyographic examination of the masticatory muscles (EMG), an electroencephalographic (EEG) examination and the subsequent implementation of a complex, including treatment using a mouthguard with a platform for tongue positioning, performing myogymnastic exercises and heterosuggestive binaural exposure. The complex is performed for at least 1 month. In this case, combined night and daytime wearing of a mouth guard and daily heterosuggestive binaural exposure and myogymnastics are recommended. The frequency of monitoring the patient's condition by a dentist is as follows: weekly for the first month. During patient visits, occlusal contacts on the mouth guard are corrected, the chewing muscles and neck muscles are palpated, and tongue position is monitored. After 1 month, the patient is examined again, including EMG, EEG, after which, if necessary, the course of exposure is extended until the excess muscle tension in the masticatory muscles completely disappears.

EFFECT: relaxation and normalization of the functioning of the masticatory muscles, reduction of psycho-emotional stress, normalization of the position of the tongue and lower jaw, nasal breathing, protection of hard dental tissues from damage.
