SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for identifying the causative agent of plague, and estimating the amount of the microbial cells that are identified as the causative agent of plague in the test samples by PCR taking into account the results in real time, comprising the following steps: extraction of DNA of a microorganism from the test samples, preparing the calibration panel, study of isolated DNA in PCR using specific primers and probes with a fluorescent label, identification of the test DNA as the DNA of a microbial or non-microbial strain by the presence of rise of fluorescence or its absence, respectively, determination on the calibration panel of DNA concentration in the sample.

EFFECT: use of the invention enables to improve the efficiency of identifying the test sample and reduce the time of its testing in real time.
