A plurality of overlap operators are applied to results of the inverse frequency transformation. The plurality of overlap operators include at least a first overlap operator and a second overlap operator. The first overlap operator is an interior overlap operator. The second overlap operator is an edge or corner overlap operator. Each of the plurality of overlap operators is characterised by substantially equivalent DC gain.
EFFECT: reduced resource consumption when storing audio data and higher rate of transmitting audio data.
