FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: claimed is method of obtaining anthracite-based activated carbon. Method includes crushing pieces, dispersion of grains, thermal processing in inert medium and activation at 850-900°C. Thermal processing is carried out at temperature 760-820°C with rate of temperature rise 12-20°C/min. Activation is carried out by mixture of water vapour and carbon dioxide, supplied at rate 0.7-1.2 cm/s.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase capacity of activated carbon for ions of heavy metals.
