FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. Method of conversion of two chemical substances to obtain chlorine dioxide includes reaction of 7.5-20% by weight water solution of sodium chlorite with 55-75% by weight aqueous sulfuric acid in reaction chamber. Reaction of aqueous solution of sodium chlorite and aqueous sulfuric acid is provided for approximately from 5 seconds to approximately 300 seconds with conversion of 75% or more chlorite ions in solution of sodium chlorite into chlorine dioxide.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase output of chlorine dioxide with ensuring process safety.
