FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: direct manometry is conducted, and intracardiac hemodynamics findings are analysed. That is followed by recording curves of pressure inside a bladder inserted into the pulmonary vein cavity up to the proximal segment level and inflated with a contrast medium until the complete vascular occlusion. The curves of pressure are recorded prior to and after a radiofrequency isolation of pulmonary basins. The disturbed contractility of the sleeves is stated if observing an amplitude decay of the curve of pressure by more than 30% of the initial value.
EFFECT: technique enables providing more accurate diagnostics of the disturbed contractility of the pulmonary vein sleeves by the direct measurement of compression of the pulmonary vein sleeves with the use of the bladder inflated in the lumen.
