FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: inventions refers to medicine, namely to methods and systems for subtraction angiography. The method consists in generating the first sequence of mask images of an individual being tested, generating the first contrast image in the first contrast phase according to which in the first contrast image, the individual's part has contrast different from that of the first image sequence, subtracting the mask from the first contrast image for generating the first DSA image sequence, subtracting the DSA image of the first sequence from the first contrast sequence within the first contrast phase for generating a sequence of specified mask images. That is combined with generating the second contrast image in the second contrast phase with the above second contrast phase spaced from the first phase by a pre-set time limit of phase separation, subtracting the images of the sequence of specified mask images from the second contrast image for generating the second DSA image sequence and displaying the DSA images of the second sequence on a screen. The first phase is an arterial phase of the contrast phase, the second phase is a perfusion phase of the contrast phase, and the time limit of phase separation is the time limit for coronary arteries. An imaging system comprises an image generator, a data processing unit, a display and a machine-readable carrier comprising a program element configured to implement the method for subtraction angiography with the use of the data processing unit.
EFFECT: using the invention provides residual motion suppression during the perfusion phase, reducing motion artefacts.
