FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method for electrical transmission regulation for diesel-electric locomotive lies in setting rotation speed for heat engine shaft gearing the traction alternator coupled to traction electric motors, measuring load current of the traction alternator, presetting of the maximum permitted voltage for the traction alternator proportional to the preset rotation speed of the heat engine shaft, accepting it as the first setting of voltage. The set value of the traction alternator power is multiplied by the value inversely proportional to the measured load current of the traction alternator; the result is accepted as the second setting. Minimum permitted voltage for the traction alternator is set proportional to the preset rotation speed of the heat engine shaft. The traction alternator and controlled thyristor rectifier unit of the locomotive are adjusted against the minimum value of the two first settings; the value of voltage limitation is accepted as the third setting value. The minimum permitted voltage is preset for the traction alternator and accepted as the fourth setting. When the fourth setting is bigger than the minimum value out of the three first voltage settings the traction alternator is adjusted against the fourth setting of voltage, at that the controlled thyristor rectifier unit of the locomotive is adjusted against the minimum value out of the three first settings of voltage.

EFFECT: improvement of operational reliability for electric transmission of the locomotive.
