FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, particularly, to diesel locomotive electric power transmission. Proposed method consists in setting rpm of thermal engine shaft driving traction generator coupled with traction motors and measuring position of fuel feed dispenser of engine rpm and load regulator, said load corresponding to current rpm. Then, position of fuel feed dispenser of engine rpm and load regulator is set proportional to preset rpm to be compared with measured position. Traction generator maximum tolerable voltage is set to be taken for first setting of traction generator voltage and traction generator minimum power and summed with the result of integration of mismatch between preset and measured positions of fuel feed dispenser. Summation results are used to define second setting. Traction generator voltage limit is computed as linearly decreasing function of traction generator measured current to be taken for third voltage setting. Minimum magnitude is isolated from three traction generator voltage setting to limit voltage variation rate to adjust traction generator thereby.

EFFECT: simplified adjustment, higher reliability.
