FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: through a ventilation opening a direct-radiating ultrasonic transducer with all-round ultrasonic detector scanning that operates as per the pulse-eco technique is placed inside a pole and moved by a control system so that the whole inner surface of the pole is surveyed from the ground surface up to the pole base, echoed ultrasonic signals are measured and processed, a state of the concrete pole substructure is estimated against an amplitude of echo-signals in the scanning of the ultrasonic signal reflected from the reinforcing steel-concrete boundary.
EFFECT: method simplification and improvement of certainty during corrosion determination for the concrete pole substructure.
