METHOD OF DETERMINING DIAMETER OF CILIARY SULCUS BY METHOD OF OPTIC COHERENT TOMOGRAPHY OF ANTERIOR EYE SEGMENT Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC A61F9/00

Abstract RU 2521834 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and can be applied for determination of the ciliary sulcus (CS) diameter. A method of optic coherent tomography of an anterior eye segment is used. Two successive scans of the anterior eye segment are performed on a horizontal axis in a colour mode. A scan with a marker ray is selected for the analysis and by means of a digital measuring instrument conventional lines are built on it: the first horizontal line, connecting on the scan two peripheral edges of the pigment iris leaf (PEPIL) on the most externally located pixel of yellow colour, corresponding on the scan to the said anatomical structure, the second line, corresponding on the scan to the internal surface of the sclera and the third line, corresponding on the scan to the internal surface of the cornea, forming in this way reference points in the place of intersection of the second and third lines both from one and the other side, after that, on the scan built are the fourth and fifth horizontal lines, connecting from each side the reference points and PEPIL, after which lengths of the fourth and fifth lines are compared and if their lengths are equal, then the obtained length of the first horizontal line corresponds to the parameter PEPIL-PEPIL and equals to the CS diameter, if the lengths of the fourth and fifth lines are different, then the difference between them is determined and added to the earlier determined length of the first horizontal line, thus the obtained line corresponds to the parameter PEPIL-PEPIL and equals to the diameter.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine the CS diameter in a reliable way.
