SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and a method for prediction of intraventricular hemorrhage (HFA) development in premature newborns by examining them on the first day of life, where neonatal modality (GAP-43) is measured in newborns with gestational age less than 28 weeks in peripheral venous blood and if the value is equal to or more than 0.61 ng/ml, the development of intraventricular hemorrhages in the early neonatal period is predicted.

EFFECT: invention provides simplifying the method, enlarging the range of prognostic agents, higher accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of prediction of IVH in neonatal infants with gestational age less than 28 weeks.
