The space between the elastic of the side barriers and the respective longitudinal side edge of the absorbent core in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal side edge is different along the longitudinal direction. The elastic extends from a point wherein the space between the elastics and the respective longitudinal side edge is maximum in the direction of the first and second ends wherein the above space is minimum.
