FIELD: military equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons, in particular to artillery shells for smoothbore guns. Device comprises a casing with a steering belt in the front part, in which the steering belt is mounted in a recess on the casing with a clearance in the radial direction and is made in the form of a ring with a conical front part of a composite material with a groove, where a collar filled with a wax antifriction material with graphite impregnation, whose outer diameter is equal to the diameter of the bore, is inserted. In the rear part of the shell, two metal rings are installed in the grooves, which have a rectangular shape in cross-section with an oblique external front groove, and a stepped shape of the lock.
EFFECT: increased speed of a shell when it moves along the canal of the gun bore and reduced wear of the bore.
