FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used for the prediction of the clinical effectiveness and clinical course of a neoplastic process in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. For this purpose, prior to the beginning of chemoradiation and prior to every next course, the patients suffering stage III-IV nasopharyngeal carcinoma are examined for ratios of an average neutrophil volume and an average lymphocyte volume to an absolute count in the peripheral blood: MVNe/#Ne and MVLy/#Ly. If the progression ratios are more than 45, the low clinical effectiveness and the negative prognosis of the clinical course are stated with no clinical signs of manifestation. If the above ratios are less than 45, the positive therapeutic effect and the favourable prognosis of the clinical course are stated.
EFFECT: invention enables detecting the neoplastic process generalisation with no clinical signs of manifestation of the disease and correcting the therapy on the basis of the derived ratios.
