SUBSTANCE: functional and quantitative assessment of glutathione reaction products in native erythrocytes by erythrocyte treatment in 10% sodium nitroprusside with added 2% ammonium in volume ratio 1:1 for 10 minutes at room temperature; that is followed by smear fixation in 96° alcohol - alcohol-xylene - xylene - balm under a cover slip; glutathione reaction products are detected by computed cytophotometry in reaction product density in standard units per 1 erythrocyte taking into account a quantity of dyed granules.
EFFECT: more accurate assessment of functional activity and amount of glutathione in native erythrocytes for the purposes of diagnostic and scientific problems.
