FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of moistening grains of different cultures and seeds, and is intended for use in flour and cereals and compound feed industry. The device 1 comprises a housing mounted at an angle to the horizontal, a rotor made in the form of shaft 2 with blades forming a helical surface. At that the housing 1 is connected to the water supply device 13 by the receiving 14 and the discharge pipes. The rotor is located in the housing 1 and is connected with a drive 3. The device for moistening grains is provided with a solenoid valve 9 connecting the housing with a vacuum pump 5 through the cylinder-receiver 7, and the second solenoid valve 12 connecting the housing 1 with the room air.

EFFECT: device provides deeper penetration of moisture into the grain by accelerated removal of air from the capillary membranes and the outer layers of the endosperm, which enables to reduce the time of subsequent grain softening.
