FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: artificial eye implant comprises an optical portion consisting of three series-connected optical elements. The first optical element represents the first plane-convex lens. The second optical element is shaped in the form of a cylinder connected to the third optical element in the form of the second plane-convex lens. Convex surfaces of the first and third optical elements face oppositely. The second optical element additionally comprises a triangular slot in the form of an equal triangle. An altitude of the triangle is perpendicular to the optical axis of the implant.
EFFECT: using the given invention enables recovering sight and integrity of the iris structure with significant iris defects, reducing a risk of implant dislocation.
