TRENCHLESS METHOD FOR APPLICATION OF INSULATION ONTO INTERNAL SURFACE OF PIPELINE Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC B05D7/22

Abstract RU 2528695 C1

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: trenchless method of applying the insulation onto the internal surface of a pipeline implies the application of composite binder onto the purified internal surface of a pipeline section and coating it by the first protective layer made as the sheets of composite material which are set butt-to-butt with the following sealing of the joints between them, heating and maturing in the state of being pressed to the internal surface of the pipeline section for the time of polymerisation of the composite binder. The method is distinguished for the following parameters. The first protective layer is coated by the composite binder with the following application of the second protective layer made as the sheets of composite material which are set butt-to-butt with the following sealing of the joints between them, heating and maturing in the state of being pressed to the first protective layer for the time of polymerisation of the composite binder applied between the first and the second protective layers. The composite material sheets are made as per the shape of the internal surface of the pipeline section with the longitudinal cut along the longitudinal axis of the pipeline section which at the installation of the sheets is aligned along one side face of the pipeline section for the first protective layer and along the other side face opposite the above one for the second protective layer. At sealing the joints between the composite material sheets of the first and the second protective layers, the joints corresponding to the longitudinal cuts in the composite material sheets are sealed as well. The lengths of the composite material sheets are equal, except for the composite material sheets of the second protective layer set at the ends of the pipeline section as their length is chosen to be equal to the half of the length of the composite material sheets.

EFFECT: improved coating application technique.
