FIELD: various technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: use for making heat-removing bases or housings of semiconductor articles with threaded holes. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that the method of making threaded holes in articles from a metal matrix composite material AlSiC includes: preparing a porous workpiece from silicon carbide powder, placing it into an impregnation device, evacuation, impregnation with melt of matrix aluminium alloy with supply of inert gas to its surface at pressure from 4 to 4.5 MPa, wherein in the porous workpiece there are preliminary formed technological holes, which are filled with a mixture of powder of alloy 29NK with particle size from 50 to 300 mcm and from 5 to 10 wt.% of liquid sodium glass with subsequent pressing of this mixture at pressure from 0.05 to 0.5 MPa and drying at temperature from 120 to 160 °C from 10 to 20 minutes, and the impregnated porous workpiece is extracted from the melt of the matrix aluminium alloy and cooled without changing the external pressure of the inert gas, and in composite formed inside process holes and containing particles of powder of alloy 29NK, holes are drilled and thread is cut in them.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of producing an article from a metal-matrix composite material AlSiC with threaded holes.
