FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of staple fibres from synthetic and mineral stock by blowout of initial fused material flow. Fibre-forming device comprises nozzle unit to force fused material out, power carrier source and blow head with slitted nozzle to force power carrier to atmosphere. Note here that said slitted nozzle is arranged at 12-18 degrees to nozzle unit lengthwise axis for discharge of fused material jet. Said nozzle unit consists in A cylindrical holes with diameter d=(0.75-0.85)(B/A), their common axis being parallel with slitted nozzle edge with width B. Note here that blow head is connected with power carrier source via power carrier flow intermitted interruption.
EFFECT: decreased consumption of power carrier, higher reliability.
