FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of jumpers for connected of terminal in lead storage batteries. Proposed method comprises skinning of the ends of multicore copper cable. Said end are etched in zinc chloride solution and their short-term dipping in the melt of tin solder. Cable soldered ends are etched in said zinc chloride solution and dipped in lead melt with temperature higher than that of tin solder. Every lead-covered cable end is secured in preheated mould to cast terminal lug from lead melt to produced bimetallic joint "copper cable - terminal lug". Copper conductors are uniformly sealed by lead alloy owing to its shrinkage at solidification and cooling.
EFFECT: increases the electrical conductivity of copper jumper cable with terminal tip by improving the uniformity of compression, as well as increasing battery life.
