FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: magnetic-liquid packing of shaft consists of permanent magnet, of pole adaptors, of removable cartridge enveloping them, of magnetic liquid, of shaft and of bearing unit with non-magnetic case. Each pole adaptor is made of at least two concentric arranged rings. The magnet together with adjacent external rings of the pole adaptors forms a removable magnetic system positioned on external surface of the non-magnetic case of the bearing unit. Internal rings of the pole adaptors are rigidly fixed on internal surface of the bearing unit case and form a gap with the shaft; this gap is filled with magnetic liquid. The removable cartridge with the non-magnetic case forms a sealed cavity and protects the magnetic system from influence of environment.
EFFECT: increased reliability of packing.
