FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: scope of application: for diagnostics by means of an ultrasound. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that matrix grid (1') of ultrasonic converters includes central area (11') and at least three branch areas (13) each of which contains two-dimensional matrix grid (5) of ultrasonic converter elements (3). The central area includes at least three edges (15), from which the corresponding branch areas are continued. Each branch area (13) is bent relative to the axis parallel to edge (15) of central area (11), from which corresponding branch area (13) is continued. In this ultrasonic sensor containing the above platform of ultrasonic converters with branch areas connected to each other with a common preferably flat central area there can be obtained approximately an ideal matrix grid having a field of view of a spheroidal shape.

EFFECT: providing a possibility of creating a matrix of ultrasonic converters from a simpler point of view of manufacture with a surface shape bent into directions in comparison to spheroidal shape of the surface having a wide field of view and high quality of an image, which is comparable to the matrix grid having a spheroidal shape of surface.
