FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method of germination inhibition of potato tubers consists in the fact that the tubers are treated with an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide in a concentration of 1·10-2-5·10-2 M (0.34-1.70 g/l), dried and then treated with 10-15% aqueous solution of oxidised starch-containing product. The aqueous solution of the starch-containing product having pH of 9.0-11.0 is prepared by oxidation of wastes of rice production in a sodium alkaline solution in the presence of the catalyst.
EFFECT: extension of the natural dormant period of potato tubers during its storage.
