FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for rail vehicle ride performance control. Proposed method includes following steps: - identification of at least one significant event or combination of several significant events within measuring signal time characteristic at which measured value exceeds preset minimum value, as well as identification of time point when this significant event has taken place; - frequency-response characteristic generation from time characteristic of measuring signal upon event, herewith, frequency-response characteristic is generated for certain time interval (ta) starting from event time point; - comparison of generated frequency-response characteristic with at least one reference frequency-response characteristic being stored in memory; - evaluation of wheelset vibrational properties depending on deviation of generated frequency-response characteristic from at least one reference frequency-response characteristic being stored in memory.
EFFECT: improvement of generic method and device in such a manner that provides more reliable detection of damages and defects of rail vehicle wheelset with lower expenditures connected with signal processing technique.
