FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: hybrid photosensitive device consists of an evacuated sealed housing, an entrance window with a photocathode and an anode placed opposite the photocathode, the anode being a base on which an electron-sensitive imaging array is mounted, with corresponding means of providing an accelerating voltage between the photocathode and the anode, as well as means of reading a signal from the array and outputting said signal outside the sealed housing. The entrance window of the device is cup-shaped and protrudes inside the housing towards the imaging array, with a flat bottom on which the photocathode placed, with a lateral portion in the form of the lateral surface of a truncated cone and with a protruding edge which enables to mount the entrance window to the evacuated sealed housing.

EFFECT: high gain coefficient of the hybrid photosensitive device, high signal-to-noise ratio, improved resolution, providing electrical strength and high breakdown voltage of the housing.
