FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of obtaining 3-aryl-1,5,3-dithiazocanes of general formula 1a-i R=H(a), m-CH3(b), p-CH3(c), o-OCH3(d), m-OCH3(e), p-OCH3(f), o-NO2(g), m-NO2(h),p-NO2(i). Essence of method consists in interaction of N1,N1,N7,N7-tetramethyl-2,6-dithiaheptane-1,7-diamine with arylamine (aryl = phenyl, m- and p-methylphenyl, o-, m- and p-methoxyphenyl, o-, m- and p-nitrophenyl) in presence of catalyst CuCl2 in molar ratio N1,N1,N7,N7-tetramethyl-2,6-dithiaheptane-1,7-diamine:arylamine: CuCl2 = 10 : 10: (0.3-0.7) at temperature ~60°C and atmospheric pressure in chloroform as solvent for 60-90 minutes. Output of respective 3-aryl-1,5,3-dithiazocanes constitutes 64-93%.
EFFECT: obtaining novel 3-aryl-1,5,3-dithiazocanes with high selectivity.
