FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: fibre-optic linear acceleration converter consists of two optical radiation receiving-transmitting channels and a sensitive element which includes two optical radiation orientation devices made of quartz glass in the form of a parallelepiped, partially coated by mirror spray, and an optical radiation absorption device which is cantilever-fitted through a spacer between the optical radiation orientation devices and is in the form of a beam made of light-absorbing material with a load attached at its end. Between the orientation devices at the opposite side of the absorption device there is a spacer which provides a gap between said devices, wherein the mirror spray is absent on regions corresponding to the rectangular projection of the cantilever-fitted beam on the surface of the optical radiation orientation devices.
EFFECT: invention broadens functional capabilities of the fibre-optic converter based on the optical tunnelling effect to enable measurement of linear acceleration.
